Q) At what age did you start playing piano? What age did you start playing football?

--Michael Perez - Springfield, OR
A) I started taking Suzuki piano lessons at age five. I started playing youth
football in fifth grade at age 10....my dad was the coach.
Q) Joey, the thing that really impresses me about you is your sensational, positive attitude. You express that very well to the public and the media. Do you work at your communication skills, or is that just your natural personality? I can see you as a broadcaster someday after you retire. Detroit is lucky to have you. Thanks, Nick

--Nick Iwasko - McKinney, TX
A) I have worked on my interview communication skills but my positive attitude
comes naturally. I appreciate your comments about being a broadcaster.
That's something I'd like to pursue when I'm done playing football.
Q) As a Lions Fan and Duck Alum, I was excited to see the Lions draft you last year. What did you learn in the first season and what do you think you need to improve on for the 2003 season?

--David HEIRONIMUS - SHERWOOD, OR
A) I learned patience from my first year in the NFL. It's a long season and
you need to pace yourself to stay fresh. Next season I want to do a better
job of checking the ball down and taking what the defense gives me.
