Q) Joey, I have arguments regarding this question, so I need your help. I say you are a football player who plays the piano. They say you are a pianist who plays football. ???

--Jesse Canales - Canal Point, FL
A) I have played football and piano for about the same amount of time. But football has always been my passion. Piano is something I do for myself just for fun.
Q) Joey, Great job you are doing in Detroit. I was wondering as to how much fan mail you get on an average daily basis? Do you read every piece of fan mail personally? And, where by chance can I send to obtain your autograph on a couple of trading cards for my Awsome collection? Thanks & good luck

--Robert Summerhalder - Portland, OR
A) I receive a lot of fan mail during the football season. Most of it is sent to the Detroit Lions and they forward it to my family who sorts it for me. Due to the amount of requests I receive for autographs, I am unable to sign items sent to me. However, I have authentic autographed memorabilia available on this website. The proceeds from the sale of this merchandise will be donated to the Harrington Family Foundation with a commitment to "share our blessings so that others may benefit". Thanks for your support.
Q) Hey Joey, What did you major in college and why did you choose it?

--Shannon Murphy - Tempe, AZ
A) I graduated from the University of Oregon, Lundquist College of Business with a degree in Sports Marketing and a minor in Duck basketball. I chose this major because a degree in business gave me a general knowledge in many different fields. I chose my minor because you've got to have fun in college.
Q) Hey Joey, I was wondering if you have any plans for a HFF concert in Michigan anytime in the future? I'm sure the hometown fans would turn out to help support such a great charity. PS...Thank Mooch for representing the U.P.

--Steven Heise - Marquette, MI
A) Charity events for Detroit are in the works. However, it takes some time to develop the necessary contacts to put that type of event together. Check the Foundation Updates section for more details as they develop.
Q) Hi Joey, I am an Oregon State grad (a native Oregonian myself) currently residing in East Lansing, MI for law school and the President of our Entertainment & Sports Law Society. I was wondering, what is your position on the recent Clarett ruling? Do you think it will dilute play at the NCAA level?

--Amanda Dresen - Okemos, MI
A) First of all...GO DUCKS!! I think it's a mistake to allow underclassmen access to the NFL Draft. Not only do players need time to develop physically, but the stress of the NFL season requires emotional maturity as well. Seventeen, eighteen, and nineteen year olds are simply not prepared to deal with the season and everything else that goes along with the league. Unfortunately, you can't justify taking away someone's opportunity to make a living. I just hope there aren't too many kids that over estimate their maturity and talent level and make a big mistake they can't recover from. GO DUCKS!!
Q) Hi Joey, Since it's the off season for you, I thought I'd ask you a non football question. What do you think of the new Blazer team?

--Denise Rolewicz - Portland, OR
A) I'm thrilled about the new Blazer team. Growing up in Portland I had the opportunity to root for a great team that not only played great basketball but represented their city in a classy way. The latest three additions to the team have helped restore the city's faith in the organization and their belief that good players can be good people too. Now I'm thrilled that I have two quality organizations to root for...the Blazers and the Pistons.
Q) Hi joey, I'm so happy for your efforts this past season, better than last season & with you there it will only get better. Any information on your concert for 2004 yet? thanks again for playing the game, you are a joy to watch grow.

--JUDY HANSON - Aumsville, OR
A) The Harrington Family Foundation summer concert is tentatively scheduled for July 1 at Pioneer Courthouse Square in downtown Portland (Oregon).
Q) Congrats on ending the season with a win! I'm already looking forward to watching the team play next season. I was wondering, do you maintain a similiar workout regimen in the off season as you do during the regular season? Daniela Dalkovski, Canton, MI

--Daniela Dalkovski - Canton, MI
A) Actually, there's no way to continue the same workout regimen during the regular season. There's not enough time. You just try to maintain the strength you built in the off-season.
Q) Joey, now that the season is over will you return to Oregon or do you still continue to practice in Detroit? What are you looking forward to doing in the off season?

--Abby Larimer - Grand Rapids, AK
A) I'm home in Oregon now for a couple of months. I look forward to seeing my family in the off-season. I'll be back in Detroit in March to start the off-season work out program.
Q) Hi Joey, Good luck next season!!! I think the Lions will be much better!! I was wondering if it is true that you are cousins with Padrig Harrington the professional golfer? THANKS!!

--Tracy Osborne - Waynesboro, PA
A) Yes, it is true. Padrig and I are second cousins. We've visited at the Masters the last couple of years and I look forward to seeing him again in September when he comes to Detroit for the Ryder Cup.
