Q) Joey,
In the last few months it appears that you have lost some weight, have you been training differently, is this true, or do I need a better contact prescription?
PS-I'm picking you up on my fantasy league, could you run some touch downs in this year it gives a higher point rating....(Just Joking-Do what you do best)
Thomas Leagon-Canton, Mi
--Thomas Leagon - Canton, MI
A) You probably need to check your prescriptions. I dropped some weight from my college years but haven't fluctuated much since I've joined the Lions. It's really just a result of a different approach to training and conditioning for a much longer season than college.
Q) Hey Joey, I just wanted to ask you a question. When you are on the practice field and you run differnt plays with Roy Williams,Charles Rogers,Mike Williams and Kevin Jones do feel like you guys arte starting to "click"and work together? Good Luck this year Joey...All Lions fans are with you!

A) It's really tough to believe that with the guys you mention I haven't had more than a year with any of them. Only Roy , Kevin and I have been together for most of one year. Unfortunately, Charles' injuries have limited any consistent time and Mike just joining us means that we will have to work hard to become a full unit together. There is no substitute for practice and repitition and I am looking forward to the future. We will get there. Thanks.
Q) Hello Joey, I read that you were chairing the Michigan Harvest Gathering campaign. I was thinking it would be good to have a collection site up here in Sault Ste. Marie. Any helpful ideas who to contact and or how to get one started to help out your efforts?
Chris Johnson,
Sault Ste. Marie, MI.

A) Thanks for your interest in a great cause. Anyone who would like to help should contact Jane Marshall, Executive Director, or Augie Fernandes, Board Chair, at 1-800-552-4483. Hopefully, this effort will benefit a lot of people.
Q) Hey Joey,
What is your most memorable moment playing for Oregon and/or Detroit. Good luck this season, Joey #3! Hope to see you in the Super Bowl in Ford Field! Thanks.
--Lindsay Standridge - Dover, AR
A) Playing my last college game for the University of Oregon in the 2002 Fiesta Bowl against Colorado was a big thrill. That win left us ranked #2 in the nation. We sure wish we could have played Miami for the national championship. I think playing my first game in the opening of Ford Field my rookie year was a memorable moment. Years from now I can say I was on the team that first played in Ford Field.
Q) Joey I am a patient at shriners hospital I am the mom of the boy who played the accordian in the middle of your speech
anyways I wanted to say thank you so much for all the support your family gives it's great to see some people who really do care about the children. you are a wonderful man and i respect you and your family.
ps thanks for the great concert next year i'de like to volunteer.
--shannan penrose - portland, OR
A) I look forward to the presentation party at the hospital after the concert. The kids are great and it is my priviledge to help in any way I can. Hopefully, next year the concert will be even bigger and we can donate more to a wonderful cause. Your son didn't bother me at all!! Thanks.
Q) Excellent HFF benefit concert last night--the best so far, I think! The location was great--the music outstanding--really fun for the whole family! Thanks for all you do to improve the lives of children. Looking forward to a great season this year. Good Luck and Go Lions!!
--Kathy Strombeck - Salem, OR
A) Thanks for your support. It looks like we will be able to make a nice donation to the Shriner's Hospital again this year.
Q) Joey, I went to David Douglas when your dad was principal, he was an awesome one too. Anyways, how often do you get to come home, when you get the chance to you come to Blazer games? I work at the Rose Quarter, so I'm just curious.
--Angela Bailey - Portland, AK
A) At the end of the season we get to go home for 2-3 months. We also get about a month off after our training and mini-camps in April-June. This summer we report back for camp in late July. I didn't get a chance to see any Blazer games this year at the Rose Quarter. I follow the Blazers but also enjoy going to Piston games whenever I can.
Q) Joey, I am from Detroit and just moved out to Moscow, ID to attend the University of Idaho for graduate school. I know that your brother, Michael, is the quarterback here, and i was just wondering if you were going to be here to see any of his games. I am one of your biggest fans, and it would make my year to get a picture and an autograph. GO LIONS 2006 Super Bowl Champions!!
--Jason Kruszewski - Moscow, ID
A) The past few years I have tried to see a game on my bye week but I haven't had a chance to check our schedules yet for next fall. Last year was great because Idaho came out to play Eastern Michigan. If it works out, I will try to see one of Michael's games this year again.
Q) Joey, I have heard from a few people they have seen you on the golf courses in Michigan. What is your favorite course to play in Michigan?
--J.T. Keyser - Canton, MI
A) I love to play golf and will play anywhere I have a chance. It's tough to fit in a lot of golf during training in the spring but I have had an opportunity to play a few courses that really stand out - Shepherds Hollow, Oakland Hills and Oakland University.
Q) Joey, I am a huge fan of you and the Lions! I am excited about the 2005-06 season!! I am originally from Ferndale, MI but now I live in Glasgow, KY. I was planning a trip to Oregon for the first time and was wondering what places or towns you might suggest for a firstimer to visit? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks- Aaron DeFilippo, Glasgow, KY.
--Frank DeFilippo - Glasgow, KY
A) Anywhere on the Oregon coast is great. Definitely different than most beaches in other states. Driving up the Columbia River Gorge from Portland to Hood River is one of my favorite views. The Columbia River separates Oregon and Washington. If you do that drive I would circle behind Mt Hood (11,000 ft) and come back to Portland by that route. The Central Oregon area has a different kind of beauty different than the west side of the Cascade Range. The Bend area around Mt Bachelor and the Three Sisters is also one of my favorites. You can't miss anywhere in Oregon. Good luck.
