Q) This is not really a question, I just want to tell you that I'm excited about you coming to the Dolphins. I'm a special education teacher and a HUGE Dolphin fan. I've read about you and I'm very impressed. I look forward to following you and the Dolphins this year. Best of luck and God bless you. Cyndi Oglesby

--Cyndi Oglesby - White House, TN
A) Thanks for the email. I appreciate your support and I'm looking forward to being a Dolphin.
Q) What's going to be your new number in Miami? And when can one be purchased from your website?

--Mike Lewandowski - Dearborn, MI
A) It looks like I am going to be able to wear #3 again. Hopefully, we will have some jerseys available on the website this summer. Keep checking.
Q) Joey: This morning as I went to my 9 year-old son's room to wake him, I found him looking at the Joey Harrington Poster hanging on the wall. We talked about the class you showed in Detroit. I explained to him the importance of playing the game of life the right way. Thank you for the great example you have set for all fans - young and old. For now, we will leave the poster of you in a Lions uniform in his room - only until we can find a Joey Harrignton poster with you in a Dolphins uniform. Good luck to you in Miami. Detroit's loss is Miami's gain. Mike Weaver Lake Orion, Michigan

--Mike Weaver - Lake Orion, MI
A) That's very nice of you. Thanks a lot. Hopefully, there will be a Dolphin poster in the future.
Q) Thank you for your hard work and constant optimism! Truely a class-act. We wish you all the best in Miami and can't wait to see you in November. GO DUCKS! - Fellow Oregon Alum, Fenton, MI

--Ryan Hogan - Fenton, MI
A) Go Ducks! Go Dolphins! Thanks.
Q) Hi Joey, We just want to take the time to say Good Luck in Miami. We have two favorite Q.B's in this world, Dan Marino and you. Now there will be two Dolphin jersey's in the collection. We watched your success in College "Go Ducks" and watched your struggles with the Lions. We have seen the good and the not so good. Through it all you remained a class act. Detroit is loss is Miami's gain. We are very proud of you, Joey, keep up the good work. Wishing you all the best! The Stansbury's Tom, Tracy & Tiffany PS: Do not forget the sun screen, remember you are from Oregon and your feet are webbed! :)

--Tracy Stansbury - Gresham, OR
A) They don't come better than Dan Marino. I hope we can return to those great years of his Dolphins real soon. Thanks. Go Ducks!
Q) Joey, I'm glad to see that many have said this before me. You are a real class guy and Detroit and the Lions are the losers in all this. We (Detroit Fans) have been blessed with athelets such as Al Kaline, Gordy Howe, Steve Yzerman and Joey Harrington. All sports are just a game and the real importance is how you play the game. Winning or losing is really only secondary to that. Unfortunately, our society, lead by the news media, seems to emphasize the lesser important winning over the way you play the game. I'm sad to see you go, but I wish you all the best in Miami and in the future. Jim Budny, Grosse Ile, MI

--James C. Budny - Grosse Ile, Michigan 481, MI
A) Those are really nice words and I truly appreciate them.
Q) Dear Joey, I just want to say thank you first. I have been a lions fan since i was 5 i am now 19 and sports have been my favorite thing ever since i was little. I have seen a lot of great players play but i can finally say i have seen a role model type guy. You don't even understand how much of a diehard fan i am. Every sunday i was glued to the tv for the pregam then the game then the post game then looked up your stats online. You are such an inspiation to me. I honestly can't think of any athelet i would rather see win then you. I was crushed when i heard you were leaving to tell the truth i saw it coming just didn't want to believe it. Good luck in Miami you will be so great there. I hope one day i can be the kind of person off the field that you are. Your truely my hero. You will always be remebered positively in my and many lions fans hearts. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!!!! Bryan Robinson Leamington,Ontario

--Bryan Robinson - Leamington, XX
A) I'm flattered you think that strongly about me and thought enough to email. There's more guys like that in the league than fans know. Unfortunately, you know what makes the news. Thanks.
Q) I really hate to see you go Joey, but you deserve a fresh start. You are probably the classiest person I have ever witnessed, not only as an athlete but as a human being. You're truly inspiring and you're a great role model. I wish you the best of luck in Miami, you deserve it. Hopefully I'll see you play again on Thankgiving Day in Detroit! Gregory Sloup Westland, MI

--Gregory Sloup - Westland, MI
A) I don't know if I quite deserve that compliment but I appreciate it. See you on Thanksgiving. Thanks, Greg.
Q) Joey, I just finished reading the second excerpt of Mitch Albom's interview with you. One of the quotes you made was "Image is what people think you are; Character is who you are". WOW...I think that sums up your whole four years here. When my boys ask me who I look up to as a sports role model, I will use that quote to emphasize what life is really about. You are truly a giant among men. Thanks for being a wonderful role model for my children. Best of luck to you (see you at Christmas..it may be the ONLY time I cheer for the other team to beat my Lions) Ken Bryson-Clarkston MI

--Ken Bryson - Clarkston, MI
A) I appreciate your comments. Make sure your boys get positive support from you as their dad. It really makes a difference. It did for me. I'm not sure where I'll be at Christmas but it won't be Detroit. I think you meant Thanksgiving.
Q) Joey, I wanted to thank you again for your time in Detroit, from all of your fans. I hope you know that the true fans were pulling for you every Sunday, and now that your going to Miami, you're taking a bunch of us with you. Of course I'm still a die-hard Lions fan at heart, but I'll be rooting for you. Your commitment to the community, along with the level of class and professionalism you demonstrated makes you the perfect Detroit athlete - right up there with Steve Yzerman, Joe Dumars, and of course, Barry Sanders. Good luck in Miami and with the foundation.

A) I have been overwhelmed with the number of fans who have given me support. Especially in the last few months. I am trying to answer a number of emails but there's no way I can. There are just too many. I appreciate them all.
