Q) Hey Joey! I live in CT but I've been a Miami Dolphins fan my whole life. I've always loved the team through the ups and the downs but since Dan Marino I hadn't really had another favorite player. However, when I saw that you were coming to the Dolphins and then found this site and saw all that you do to give back the community I quickly became a huge fan of yours. Welcome to the team and I wish you the best of luck this season. You certainly deserve it! --Alicia Janeczko - Enfield, CT

--Alicia Janeczko - Enfield, CT
A) Thanks for the nice note. I am enjoying myself so far in Miami and I think we are on the way to a great season. After I get familiar with the area I hope I can get invoved in some community efforts here in Miami.
Q) Hello Joey, I have a quick question but before I ask you it, I would like to say great job so far in Miami and good luck this season. Remember, I will be rooting for you. Now to the question. I was wondering where you can still purchase your Oregon Ducks jersey. I heard they stopped making the jerseys so I am not sure where to get one. Appreciate the help.

--Brian Maksimovic - canton, MI
A) Thanks for your support, Brian. I'm not sure if my Oregon jersey is still sold at the University of Oregon Duckshops but you can purchase it at the foundation store on this website. After I graduated from college, Nike made a collector's version of my Oregon jersey for one year which is the hybrid jersey that we sell.
Q) Joey, have you seen the new Oregon unis? White helmets, tapered "Belotti bold" numbers and diamond plating. They make the jerseys you wore look downright vintage.

--Corey Roberts - Eugene, OR
A) I have been able to keep up with the new changes since my youngest brother, Nick, is an equipment manager on the UO team. He's one of the first to know what NIKE has in store for the Ducks.
Q) Not a question, only an observation. Just wanted to say it was great to see you smiling while playing football again. It seems like it has been too long.

--Brett Laidlaw - Vernon, CT
A) Football is fun again and I am playing with a top organization. It makes it a lot easier. It's funny how many people have commented about how much they have seen me smile during these past three games. Our offense is more similiar to what I was used to at Oregon and there is definitely a chance to throw the ball down the field with established options which makes it easier for a QB.
Q) Hey Joey!!! Great job in the Carolina game...Just wondering if the difference in scenery and team have helped you excel in Miami? I have followed you since you were drafted in Detroit and I know that you will finally prove that you are a class act quarterback.....see ya in the playoffs!!!!!!!

--mike crabtree - morgantown, AK
A) It's been a good change. I am really happy here in Miami where the coaches and players all have high expectations. Everyone on this team expects to be in the playoffs and that sounds great to me.
Q) Hey Joey - caught your game last night against Carolina. Sorry that the team lost but we were so glad to see you play and you looked great. All the best in your career and in life. Hated to see you leave the Lions but we know it was the best thing for you. Continued success but you are already a success as a human being. Keep up the good work in the family foundation. Clare Pety, Bingham Farms, MI.

--Clare T. Pety - Bingham Farms, MI
A) I'm having a good experience so far in Miami but I also appreciate the many fans like you who supported me in Detroit. Our family foundation is established long term and I intend to stay involved after I am out of the NFL. While I am in Miami we will look for some ways to get involved in this community.
Q) Joey, Not really a question , but I just wanted to say your looking sharp in the Phins offense. I am a dual fan. Grew up in Michigan , but have been living in Pompano Beach Fla. For the past 18 years.I am so glad you got out of Detroit. In a way I wished it would of worked out there , but I also like the Dolphins and so I win on this one. A Detroit fan should get something thrown his way every now and then. Keep up the solid effort. Michigangator , Pompano Beach Fla.

--Matthew Goetz - Pompano Beach, FL
A) Thanks for the support. Michigan and Florida is quite a combination for you. I am looking forward to the new start and I think it should be a good year for Dolphin fans.
Q) Hey Joey!!! I don't have a question I just wanted to let you know that I have been following you in Miami. It is a little tough from here though because we only get the lions preseason games and all the nationally televised preseason games here, we dont have direct tv or NFL network so I had to follow you on the internet for the play by play. From what I can see by that and the highlights on ESPN News, you look pretty good and keep up the good work, my whole family is pullin for ya. Your next shot as a starter won't be far away.

--Mike Kinkella - Roscommon, MI
A) Mike, I am really appreciative of all the Lions fans who have written to me since my move to Florida. So far, it's been a good transition. Whether I start or not, I want to be part of a positive atmosphere and I think we have it in Miami. Thanks.
Q) Hey Joey, Of course I have been a fan as soon as I heard your name in Oregon. But then you got drafted by the Lions and I had to get all the Jersey's. I had worn #3 in softball and hockey all my life so I started getting the nickname "Joey", which is great. Anyways, I just wanted to thank you for your upbeat positive attitude the last 4 years here in MI. I agree it is what was needed here. I'm sure the best is yet to come. So, best of luck to ya. Have a great year Jason Harrington Bay City, MI

--Jason Harrington - Essexville, MI
A) Jason .... I am really surprised at how many Harringtons have contacted me over the last four years since I began playing in the NFL. I think we are everywhere but, as far as I know, I don't have any relatives in Michigan. Even though it was difficult at times in Detroit to keep a positive attitude I am convinced it's a necessary part of a winning team. There's no reason to change. Hopefully, it will be a good year for both our #3's this season.
Q) Hi there Joey, My name is Kelly and I'm a big fan of yours. I was born in Oregon and so was my mom. Even though, I go to Arizona State University for school, I still root for my Oregon Duck Boys. I try to go to the games when Oregon plays ASU. I always wear green and yellow on game days. My uncle is also a big fan of yours especially. I just wanted to wish u the best with the Dolphins and if you guys play the Arizona Cardinals I will be watching. Take care and best of luck!) Kelly McGlew Chandler, AZ

--Kelly McGlew - Chandler, AZ
A) Thanks for writing, Kelly. Keep wearing the green and yellow and cheering for the Ducks against ASU. I always enjoyed playing them. In fact, Coach Dirk Koetter was the coach who recruited me to UO while he was an assistant coach at Oregon. Say hello to your uncle but I am not sure that we play Arizona this season.
